Opting for online photography classes has benefitted me in many ways. Read more to find out how.
Photography has become a well-sought industry these days. Some take it up as a profession while others as a hobby. I am the latter. In my young days, I was a photography lover but due to my everyday hustle, I gave up on my passion and got into my corporate job. 2020 was an unprecedented year. With remote working and lesser outings, I had a lot of time for myself so I thought of utilizing it to rekindle my passion. I searched online and came across a lot of online photography classes. After a lot of screening and reading reviews, I enrolled myself in one of them. And trust me, it did wonders and proved the fact that where there is passion, there is a way. I came across a lot of photography workshops in India too, but before that, I wanted to get my basics right because you cannot just attend any workshops, there are workshop you pay for and you don’t want it to go to waste. If you’re thinking to take up one of the online photography courses in India, then you are just at the right place. With the way the photography industry is booming in India, I must say in no time beginners will also catch up to experts in no time, and will help the industry flourish for a long time. Read on to know how online photography classes benefited me:

Techniques

Techniques form the foundation of
photography. Although I was not an amateur, the course helped me brush up on the
basics. With interactive and exclusive methods, I got to learn all about camera
techniques. It taught me the technicalities of the camera including Aperture, Shutter
Speed, ISO, Focus, and Exposures with the help of illustrative examples.
·
Types of Photography

Not just the basics, I also got to learn
about different & unique types of photography too that many online
photography courses in India may miss out on.. The course had modules on
all different types of photography including wildlife, portrait, wedding,
landscape, street life, architecture, fashion, sports, editorial, etc. The
modules helped me understand the basics and ace the camera handling styles,
tricks and tips of these genres.
·
Developing a niche
Apart from studying all the genres
altogether, the best part was that the course helped me understand my strengths
and interests. Later in my course, I found that I was inclined towards nature
and landscape. So, I was able to customise my course and drive my learnings
towards these genres only.
·
Editing

This one’s the most important part. This is a
post-production step wherein one needs to edit the raw footage to turn them
into perfect images. The online course gave me an in-depth knowledge of the
tools of editing including software and devices. Not only this, but I also had
to take part in self-examinations and assessments to test my skills. After the
tests, I also had a one-on-one feedback session with my mentor.
