Are you into travel photography? And are you always on the go?

If yes, there must be major concerns around protecting your gears. Genres like travel, nature, wildlife, and landscape photography require going to different locations and cities and that is what makes photography interesting. But as you get into travel photography that requires flying with your camera often and that means the safety of your gears is to be prioritized.  There are several dangers while traveling with expensive gear below we’ll discuss ways to keep your gears safe.

1. Invest in a good camera bag:

When you plan of traveling photography, the first thing in your to-do list should be a good quality camera bag. Look for a bag that will keep your gears intact and snug it without much movement, this is especially if you are on a road-tripping in locations with bad uneven roads.

2. Keep an eye :

Traveling photography may be exciting but you need to stay alert twice the time. Keep an eye on your bag for    thefts, especially in crowded places. If you are taking a shard taxi, or public transportation place your bag in front of you rather than in the trunk.

3. Extra dry bags are a must :

Mostly used for river rafting and kayaking, dry bags are used to keep the contents inside dry. So, if you are going to travel to locations where the weather conditions seem dicey and there are chances of rain you can use these dry bags to keep your expensive equipment. If you are doing an aerial photography your equipment will be more expensive, so make sure you carry these dry bags.

4. Use the safe during hotel stays :

Traveling means staying in different hotels or homestays. Many times, you may not need all your gears, whatever you are leaving behind, you can keep in your room safe, or if the hotel has a security room, for precious belongings, you can keep it as safe there too. Keep a list of what you are leaving at the locker for you to pick so that nothing is missing.

5. Self-care gear :

You being the photographer there are some things that are crucial for your safety as well. If you are going to be shooting aerial photography for a long, then wear something comfortable. In case of moody weather wear a waterproof jacket, gloves, and a good show to take you through toug
h roads.

6. Insurance :

Your gears are definitely worth a lot of money, the more professional you get, the more expensive gears you will need, so it is always advised that you have insurance for your gears that offers replacement coverage for lost or stolen items and another one that covers the repairs.
